While all other launchers and storefronts work (Steam, Battle.net, etc…), Microsoft does not allow Windows store apps (Xbox / Games Pass) on the specific edition of Windows used by Stim (Windows Server).
Note: All other launchers and storefronts should work fine aside from Games Pass (Windows Store). This includes Steam, Battle.net, Origin, Rockstar, and more!
Stim is working on adding support for Windows 11 in 2024, which will enable Windows Store apps and Games Pass. Join our Discord for more information: https://stimsocial.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/25922967991827-How-Can-I-Join-the-Exclusive-Stim-io-Discord
Update: As of October 2024 supporting the Windows Store & Games Pass has been deprioritized by our team. This decision was made by our team after learning that the market share of Windows Store & Xbox Games Pass has quickly been shrinking (instead of growing), and Microsoft has released all Xbox exclusives on Steam and other more popular game storefronts. They are moving away from Windows Store games & Xbox exclusives. As a result, Stim does not feel the need to invest time and resources supporting the Windows Store.
