On new Cloud PCs you can enable at least 100GB of temporary NVME storage by clicking this icon on the windows desktop of your Cloud PC
Then you should then see this TEMP (T:) drive appear.
Note: This temp NVME drive will be deleted when your Cloud PC is shut down or restarts. It can be useful for installing games, mods, textures, or shaders for testing. Use it for anything! Just remember it will be deleted when you shutdown your Cloud PC.
If you don't see the above "Enable Temp Storage" easter egg desktop icon, you may be on an older version Cloud PC. You can still enable the temp storage by doing the following:
Enter this in Powershell in your Cloud PC to enable an extra 209+GB of ultra fast NVME temporary storage. The amount you get depends on how much extra (unused) storage there is on the server your Cloud PC is running on.
For now, open powershell in the start menu on your Cloud PC and paste:
C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\powershell.exe -command "iex ((New-Object System.Net.WebClient).DownloadString('https://d1borehzpga0vw.cloudfront.net/enable_temp_storage_stim.ps1'))"
Then you should see this TEMP (T:) drive appear.
Note: This temp NVME drive will be deleted when your Cloud PC is shut down or restarts. It can be useful for installing games, mods, textures, or shaders for testing. Use it for anything! Just remember it will be deleted when you shutdown your Cloud PC.
We will add this script as a desktop icon🥚on new Cloud PCs at some point.
